On 11 July, we participated as a speaker in the second meeting of INNOCOSMÉTICA.
In her presentation entitled “Natural silk proteins and their use in cosmetics”, Ana Leticia, Research and Development Manager, highlighted Inves Biofarm’s commitment to the green economy through the rearing of the silkworm and the use of its waste, specifically the boiling of silk cocoons. This process yields two key proteins: fibroin and sericin, which have multiple applications in cosmetics, food and medicine due to their biocompatibility, minimal immunogenicity and biodegradability.
He also presented our international patent on protein stabilisation, which ensures efficacy and safety in cosmetics, pharmaceuticals and topical medical devices. This innovative process uses neither heat nor water, ensuring complete biocompatibility.
At Inves Biofarm, we’re not just innovating in biotechnology, we’re cultivating a future where science and nature come together to deliver sustainable solutions that improve people’s lives and protect our planet.
